Residential conversion of former Nurses Home as part of a major community and residential revival of the redundant historical hospital complex. GBA Heritage provided advice in the retention of original fabric and spaces with the preparation of a SCW, Interpretation Strategy and role as nominated heritage consultant.

GBA Heritage had also provided long term strategic advice to Leichhardt Council regarding the potential re-use opportunities and constraints for the overall site.  An eventual joint agreement between the Council and Mirvac led to the introduction of a new Municipal Library in the old buildings and high-density residential development of the remainder of the large “brownfield” site.
